Body insecurity has reared its ugly head once
again, and how. Women today feel constantly pressured into looking good and
having the ‘ideal’ body as prescribed by the media. Plus sized women are
ridiculed and anorexic women are body shamed. People want women the way they
want a phone- with a specific set of prerequisites, anything less and its
useless. This misogynistic view has forced many women to turn to Colombian waist trainers.
The very slow and cumbersome process of toning
and reducing the fat in the abdomen and wait area is called waist training.
Using a Colombian waist trainer is the easiest way to do this. IT
simplifies the whole process by doing a very simple thing and doing it well.
However, there are no shortcuts to becoming fit. Using only a Colombian
waist trainer is not enough, one has to follow a strict diet plan and
exercise regularly. This is not as easy as it sounds, and this is why women
take to shapewear. Shapewear is the short cut to looking toned and ‘sexy’.
Societal constructs of what is desirable are pushed onto women of all ages and
backgrounds, and until this practise can be stooped, women will keep turning to
such methods. Experts say that there has been a decrease in the number of
people opting for cosmetic surgery after the rise of shapewear. Obviously, this
is a desirable trend. Fashion experts are working hard to make even more people
aware about shapewear.
